What does my entry fee include?
In addition to a great race, all participants will receive an Official Race T-shirt, Gear Check, Refreshments at the Start, along the Course, and at the Finish, and access to the Finish Line Celebration! All ½ Marathon & 10K finishers will receive an Official 2017 Celebration Run San Diego Finishers Medal immediately upon crossing the finish line.

Is there an age limit for the race?
This event is open for participants of all ages. For the half marathon, the minimum age is 12 years of age. Celebrate Kids Fun Run is designed for kids 12 and under (K – 6).
Do you have to run the entire race or can you walk?
Runners must be able to maintain 15 min/mile pace (3:16 hrs) in the half marathon. Anyone not maintaining this pace at Mile 8 will be diverted back to the finish line. Participants that fall behind this pace after mile 8 will be asked onto the sidewalk and will need to respect pedestrian laws. If you do not believe you will maintain this pace, we encourage you to participate in the 10K.
Will I receive a refund if I cannot attend?
There are no refunds, but you may roll your entry over to next year prior to August 31, 2017. To rollover your entry to next year, please email us. There will be no roll-overs permitted after August 31st, 2017.
Can I transfer my registration to another runner?
You may transfer your entry to another person or roll your entry over to next year prior to August 31st, 2017 for a $25 processing fee. To transfer your entry, simply go online and make the change on Active.com. To rollover your entry to next year, please email us. There will be no transfers permitted after August 31st, 2017.
How will I receive my race packet?
Skip the stress of packet pickup! Register by Friday, October 21st and receive your packet mailed right to your doorstep (to the address you use to register – no address changes after October 1st)! If you do not receive your packet in the mail or made special arrangements (by emailing us) to pick up your packet on site, please visit the packet pick-up booth on race morning. Packet pick-up/walk-up registration (if available) opens at 5:30AM race morning. Please plan accordingly!
Can I register on race day?
At this time, we do not guarantee race day registration. Please register online for the best deal.
Are there pacers for the half marathon?
Yes. West Coast Road Runners are the official pacers of the Celebration Run.

How do I start a team or join an existing team?
When registering, you will be prompted if you want to join or create a team. Choose an option and complete the Team Information section. If you are already registered, login to My.Events.Active.com and create or join an existing team.
What is the Celebrate Kids Fun Run?
Kids have the opportunity to get in on the celebration, too! There will be a 1/2 mile, un-timed fun run for kid runners under 12. Participants will receive a special kid-sized t-shirt and commemorative medal. The out & back race begins at 10am at Bonita Cove and will finish over the same sand finish line as the 1/2 marathon & 10K. There will be a wave start based on each child’s age. Parents will be allowed to run with their little ones but will need to line up toward the back. Each Fun Run participant will receive a commemorative t-shirt and finishers medal.
What is the start time of the event?
The Official Start of the 1/2 Marathon and 10K is 7:00AM. All runners (½ Marathon and 10K) will line up on the starting line together according to their estimated pace. 10K runners will split off from 1/2 Marathon runners along the route.
What will parking be like on race day? Will there be shuttles?
We will post the official parking map closer to the event date. There will be convenient parking options available, and carpooling with your BFFs is always recommended!
Are headphones (iPods, mp3 players, etc.) allowed during the race?
The use of headphones is discouraged but allowed. If you do run with headphones, it is requested that you keep one ear free to be able to hear safety vehicles, fellow participants and course officials.
Are pets or strollers allowed on the course?
Due to the safety of all participants, pets are not permitted on the race course. Strollers are allowed only on the 10K course and will start in the final wave.
Will there be a bag check available?
Yes! Gear Check will be available at the Start in Bonita Cove. Plastic bags will be provided. All belongings must fit in the plastic bag. We discourage bringing any valuables to the race. Backpacks or large duffle bags are not permitted for safety reasons.
Will there be water stations along the course?
Yes. There will be 6 hydration stops providing water and electrolyte drink along the ½ marathon course, and two along the 10K course. Stops will be located approximately every two miles.
Will there be restrooms along the course?
There will be portable restrooms located at the start & finish line, as well as along the course.
Will the race be timed?
Yes. Participants in the ½ marathon and 10K will be timed with a running chip.
Are the Age Group Awards?
Yes. Age Group Awards go to top 3, male and female, in the following age groups:
18 & under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-59, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
